Malala Yousafzai is an activist for girls’ education and the youngest person to win the Nobel Peace Prize.

Malala was born in 1997 in Mingora, a city in Pakistan. Her father was a teacher and believed that education was very important for both boys and girls. Malala grew up loving school and learning new things.

When Malala was 11 years old, a group of extremists called the Taliban took control of her town. They said that girls were not allowed to go to school. Malala disagreed. She wrote a blog about her life and spoke in public about the right of girls to get an education.

In 2012, when Malala was 15, she was attacked by the Taliban. A man shot her in the head while she was on a school bus. She was very badly hurt, but doctors saved her life. Malala was taken to a hospital in England, where she recovered.

After the attack, Malala did not stop fighting for education. She started the Malala Fund, an organization that helps girls around the world go to school. In 2014, when she was 17, Malala won the Nobel Peace Prize for her work.

Malala continues to speak out about education and equality. She believes that every child, no matter where they live, should have the chance to learn. Malala turned a terrible event in her life into a powerful movement for change. She is an inspiration to millions of people around the world.
